Chemo Day

Sitting at the hospital waiting for mom to get finished with her Chemo.  Every Tuesday she has to come in and get her treatments.  Takes around 5 hours, thank goodness for my laptop or I would be bored out of my mind!!..The Chemo is helping has reduced some of the cancer cells from around her liver wich should extend her life ...Reduction is always a good thing.  Mom has lost some hair but not to where she is bald.  The medicine seems to effect her taste and her skin the most.  She has the worst dry skin and her fingertips actually crack open.  She wears tape on on her fingertips to help ease the pain.  Its 12:55 here almost time for her to call and say she is done.  Im in the Radiation wing they have internet access here.  Off to surf some more of the web...

Such a Long Time

Seems a long time has passed since my last post..Allot has happend in the past 6 months, a whirl wind of horrible and good things have come into my life

My mom was diagnosed with stage 4 Colon Cancer in June and started Chemo treatments, also moved in with me, she now lives behind our home in a travel Trailor and takes Chemo on a weekly basis.  We do not know how long she has but try to spend allot of time together. 

Destanee Started Kindergarden and Christopher 2nd Grade they are both excelling in there studies and as a mom I could not be more proud of my children.

Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas have come and gone.  All the holidays were a great success and fun.

I have been designing some but mostly taking care of my family, hopefully this year I can get more scrapping done and Design some more Page Kits..

Thats all for now hopefully I can keep up this blog and let you on what is happening in my life.

Yeah Im back...

from my life!!...Why does it seem some of us cannot keep up on our blogs, I have good intentions and then life gets in the way and a month later here we are again trying to catch up on everything we have missed.  Got through Christmas without going to the poor house (barely)...Brandon and Ashely have moved to Illionis...Snif...snif..

Chris and Destanee are back in school and becoming Smarter every day so they can take care of me when I am old and feeble.

Destanee turned 5 on January 9th..why oh why do they have to grow up?

ok..now lets see if i can keep this blog updated this time..yeah right

There taking my KIDS

I knew it was coming but today in court it was offical Brandon and Ashley will be leaving my family and moving to Illinois at the end of December.  Why is it that you know something is going to happen and you have told yourself and others its whats best they will be with there grandparents and uncles and aunts and there brothers there REAL family thats whats best right?  These people are linked to them they are family they are blood and the kids will be happy.  I also think we will be better here too.  2 less children to take care of and Christopher and Destanee will have more of our attention and hey we dont have to raise teenagers.  But then I think I LOVE these kids I am there family have been for almost 5 years, no we share no blood but LOVE.  I have been there for bad report cards and the back talk also I have been there for many laughs and the occasional hug.  Seems big kids are more stingy with the hugs.  I have been there when they were once again suffering through why is my mom doing this to us again? where is she?  does she care for herself more than us?   The past 5 years have been a roller coaster ride of emotions but today was the worst.  There taking MY KIDS...there mine dammit, no one else was here at 2 am working on a science report with Ashley because she waited till the last minute to do it, no one else was here when she was in so much pain from her teeth, no one wlse was here brandon was ill and needed medicine and the ER...I cried in court and I sit here in tears I am going to miss these hard headed teenagers from the bottom of my soul.  I love you Ashley and Brandon

Trick or Treat

That time of year again.  The kids and I had a wonderful time and got lots of candy.

Destanee was a Belle from Beauty and the Beast, Chris as Ninja Boy and who can forget Brandon the Fat hobo, goodness he was hilarious!!

17 Years!!

Today my husband and I celebrated 17 years of marriage.  When I think about that it really makes me feel old..but happy.  I only knew my husband 2 weeks before I married him, most said it wouldn't last but I feel we have proved them wrong.  To those of you who said that...NA NA NA NA...HA HA..

And Bruce if you ever read my blog..(first he would have to know what that is) I LOVE YOU HONEY!!

Poor lil Destanee

Woke Destanee up for school this morning and she was complaining that her tummy hurt she went into the bathroom and puked and also had diarreah.  Poor thing drank red koolaid last night so of course her puke was red and she started screaming mommmy im bleeding it scared her to death. After I got her cleaned up and laying down she insisted I call her daddy and Grandma Jean to tell them she puked, hey she wanted some sympathy.  She hasnt eaten much all day and still has diarreah so I guess she will be home again tommorow.  Think of poor Destanee today..

V.C. Andrew's Books

Who loved these books as a teenage girl??..I know I would read one after the other.  They were full of cute guys, love, loss, stupid parents and finding rich relatives who really were mean.  I have tried to read them as a mature woman they just dont have the appeal that they used to but I was in the library the other day with my 14 year old niece Ashley who hates to read. I was able to talked her into getting one of the V.C. Andrews books and the girl is reading now!!!..ok its not pultzer prize winning material but she is reading.  It really makes me feel good to see a child read they just don't realize how important reading is even if it is about hot guys..lol

Day at the Fair

Took the Kids to the fair today.  Was suppose to be a couple of hours then home. How is it that kids can give you that ohhhh please look and you end up staying all day.  My feet hurt, and my pockets are now empty.  But I did get me one of them Fair Corn Dogs..I love them things..and of course some good ole cotton candy..It was a fun day and the kids rode every ride there at least 6 times.
